Descent of Inanna Writing Workshop

Saturday July 15, 7-9pm BST (1pm CST) 

This month in the Creative Alchemy membership, the theme is Nurturing Vulnerability, we are exploring watery depths of emotions, but mostly around vulnerability.  For the first time, I am opening a membership call to the public so you can join as we journey together to the depths of ourselves and beyond. Get ready for this unraveling, the intense vulnerability and discomfort that accompanies the underworld and the rising new. This is a metaphorical descent that we will process through writing, we will be stripping ourselves of everything we thought we were.

The Descent of Inanna: 

If you are unfamiliar with the story of Inanna and her descent into the underworld, that's okay, I will share about it at the start of the workshop, but if you'd like a fuller version of the story than the summary I will give, you can learn more at some of these resources I'll provide.

She passes through seven gates as she descends. 

At the first gate she is asked to remove her crown...

Together, we will descend through the gates and you will write about the experience as you are being stripped of all you thought you were. We will then ascend again, gathering back what we let go of, but with consciousness and gratitude for what we have. 

At the end, we will write a poem of the journey and there will be time for sharing and discussion. 

If you cannot make the live event, there will be a recording for those who purchased tickets.
